In USA, obesity has reached a level that is quite serious. Most in the obese category have at least a 25 BMI and we have over 15% Americans who are seriously overweight (see stats here). Extreme obesity is an underlying factor in many health issues among them are heart disease, cancer, stroke and diabetes.
An obese person is more vulnerable to chronic and often extreme health problems. For example, the extra pounds affect your circulation, potentially causing heart problems. This is also a reason for issues with high blood pressure. Many who fall into the obese category are also developing Type II diabetes as well. There are a number of factors that could lead an obese person to develop diabetes. One such factor is that a person who ingests too many sweets in their every-day diet are at an increased risk for being obese and developing diabetes. Being at an increased risk for developing diabetes is something to be alarmed about. It can cause the body to go into a sugar coma and many people have died because it. As mentioned, people with obesity will get serious issues with the heart. And when a person gets a heart attack, a surgery could be needed. Getting a heart surgeon to treat a heart problem can cost a lot! Instead of spending $10,000+ to treat this problem, why not get healthy? In some really serious case, I know of people getting harder in hearing and ended up going to visit an ear specialist. So, instead of getting to all these troubles, get rid of the cause of the whole thing: Obesity. If you are struggling with their weight it’s important that you take steps to improve your health by losing the fat. Dieting doesn't have to be difficult. For instance, you can follow the food guide pyramid and join a gym to begin modifying your weight. A number of healthy eating plans let you cheat on your diet with indulgent foods from time to time. Portion control is key. So, no more super-sizing. Those who are overweight and desires to cut off a few pounds should not do so for cosmetic reasons alone, instead, they should be losing the weight in an attempt to live a longer, healthier life. Just by starting your day or ending it with a little more physical activity can give your body a good start towards becoming healthy. The side effects of continuing to be overweight far outweigh the limited pleasures that being dormant and over-indulging provide.

I came across a friend of mine who has a very peculiar problem: He doesn't like to go to the public toilet. Most of the time, he will want to hold on to his bladder till her goes home. I wonder why that happens, so I kinda ask him to go to the public toilet with me one day.
He rejected the suggestion, and did it quite rudely. So I thought maybe I should ask him nicely about the reason why. After much asking, he shared with me that he doesn't like to go to public toilets as it will cause him stress when using them. I wonder, "How can it be a stress when it comes to peeing?" That's something that I don't understand. I'll have to bade him farewell early due to this little peeing issue. I when online to check about people who are afraid to pee in public toilets. And I found out that this is a medical condition for Paruresis, or commonly known as the shy bladder. I read that it is a condition where a person cannot use the public toilet to relief themselves. These people are stressed in using public toilets. As it happens to men most of the time, many of them did not want to share this with their friends due to pride. I check on the stats and found that there are over 21 MILLION AMERICANS suffering from this condition?!?!? That's quite a huge number! In fact, the number could be bigger as many of them did not report this. So, knowing this, I want to find out if there are possible treatment. One of the most common treatment is to seek Hypnosis treatment. As Paruresis is largely a mindset blockage, many people do get treated. As such, I meet up with my friend and ask him to try to overcome shy bladder by visiting a Hypnotist. Of course it's not easy to convinced him but after much discussion he decides to seek treatment. In addition, I get him to visit the official association for Paruresis here. I hope that this would help him out and get him to get over this pesky issue of shy bladder. So let's wish him luck! Safety is of utmost importance for all of us. Safety for our children is even more important. That is why in the recent years we see quite a bit of GPS trackers available for family use. We have tracking devices for kids, GPS trackers for adults, and many more. With all these products out in the market, the question we ask is: Do we need them? First, we need to ask, why do we buy them? Is it to track our child's every single movement? Or it is just to ensure their safety? GPS trackers are great for younger children for obvious reasons. As they are still young, they can get lost easily in a crowd areas. Worse still, they are targets for kidnappers. That's why GPS trackers are important for them. However, we also know that children tend to lose things so how do we ensure that they will be holding on to their GPS trackers without losing them? Do we need to embed them?!? Of course not. You see, there are many GPS-enabled watches which allows your children to wear them. They work like a watch, it's just that they have GPS device installed in the watch. Children won't usually lose their watch so it's a nice device to have for the children. One of the popular GPS watch for kids is HereO. This company produces nice GPS-enabled watches for children. It's also waterproof so they can use it in even in a bathroom. HereO watches are also very colourful so children will enjoy wearing this type of watch. Weighing only 40g, it's light enough for your children. This watch also allows the children to call for help by pressing a button. The call can be to the parent, teacher or even the police. Nice feature to add it. Of course, I would usually recommend turning this off as I don't want accidental calling by the children! In addition, you can use either Android or iOS app to track the watches. So right now you can have a piece of mind about the safety of your kids. If you have such watches for giveaway, do let us know! I know that some of you could have older kids and find no use for this watch so do give it away to the community! |
